7:15 AM - Depart Peoria headed south towards the Gateway to the West – St. Louis, MO. We’ll make a break stop along the way for fast food. 11:30 AM - Arriving in St. Louis, our first stop is for Lunch* at The Old Spaghetti Factory. You’ll have your choice of Spaghetti with meatballs, Baked Lasagna or Chicken Fettuccine so please advise us of your choice. You’ll also enjoy salad with creamy pesto dressing, hot fresh-baked bread with garlic butter (unlimited), spumoni ice cream for dessert and your choice of coffee, tea or milk. 1:00 PM - Approximate departure time for our short journey to Forest Park and the Missouri History Museum to explore the Vatican Exhibit*. Experience 2000 years of Vatican art & history presented through extraordinary works by artists such as Michelangelo and Bernini, and objects marking the most significant moments in the history of the papacy and the Vatican. The exhibition is comprised of 170 rare artworks, historical objects and cultural artifacts from the collections of the Vatican, many of which have never been allowed outside of Rome, and including special objects never before on display, even at the Vatican. (1:30 – 4:00 p.m.) 4:00 PM - It’s time to board the coach and depart for home. We’ll make a break stop along the way as needed for fast food. 8:30 PM - Approximate arrival time back in Peoria.
