7:00 AM - Depart Peoria for Amana Colonies for a fun-filled day of shopping. We’ll make a fast food stop along the way. 11:00 AM - We arrive in Amana where you’ll have 6 hours to enjoy a delicious lunch on your own and get in plenty of shopping. You won't find chain stores in the Colonies; you won't find the same old cookie-cutter department stores. You will find specialty shops and galleries offering artwork, fine gifts, home accessories, locally made crafts, boutique fashion and accessories, specialty products, quality foods and beverages, hard-to-find antiques and treasures. And you'll be pleasantly surprised by the prices. These are uncommon goods offered in an uncommon setting. Learn how Amana furniture is crafted, explore the Amana Woolen Mill now in its 150th year of operation, watch the village blacksmith at his forge, take in our art galleries and studios, shop for fresh-baked bread and hickory smoked meats, sample our wine and beer, shop for the finest, imported figurines and art glass; experience shopping our way. So forget the mall - wander through our quiet streets, comb through our unique selections - there's a treasure waiting just for you. Drop off & Pick up passengers in the parking lot down by the Woolen Mill. 5:00 PM - It’s time to gather our packages and depart for home making a dinner stop (on your own) en route. 9:05 PM - Approximate arrival time back in Peoria.
