7:00 AM - Depart Peoria headed northeast towards "The Windy City" – Chicago! We’ll make a 1/2 hour break stop along the way to stretch your legs. 11:00 AM - Arriving in Chicago, we’ll drop you off at the corner of State & Randolph – at Macy’s. You’ll have time to shop and enjoy lunch on your own before we pick you up and take you to the Apollo Theatre. 1:00 PM - Our coach picks us up and we travel the short distance to The Apollo Theatre where we’ll enjoy an afternoon performance of "Million Dollar Quartet*". On December 4th, 1956, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley played together for the first and only time! This show features a treasure trove of the greatest rock, rockabilly, gospel, R & B, and country. Enjoy songs like: "Blue Suede Shoes, "Fever, "Who Do You Love?, "Great Balls of Fire, and "Whole Lotta Shakin Goin’ On". Million Dollar Quartet captures the infectious spirit, freewheeling excitement and thrilling sounds of a singular moment when four of popular music’s most extraordinary talents, all in their creative prime, came together for a night that would raise the roof. (2:00 PM Show) 4:00 PM - Following the show, we’re off for home making a 1-hour meal stop en route. 9:00 PM - Approximate arrival time back in Peoria.
