Other Multi-Day Tour - 7 Days / 6 Nights July 12th - 18th, 2009

Day #1 - Sun., July 12th:

7:00 AM - Depart from your designated pickup location at the time listed on your final confirmation, which you will receive 2 weeks prior to departure. You'll enjoy a Continental Breakfast* aboard the coach as we travel. We'll also make rest & meal stops along the way as needed. We'll make an overnight stop to rest up before traveling on westward.


Day #2 - Mon., July 13th:

AM - After enjoying a Continental Breakfast* at the hotel before we set off for a visit to the spectacular Badlands National Park*. Then, we'll go to the amazing Wall Drug Store*
before having Dinner* and checking into your South Dakota area hotel. Don't forget to set your watches back an hour as we enter the Mountain Time Zone.


Day #3 - Tues., July 14th:

Start the day with a Continental Breakfast* before heading to the Borglum Historical Center*, where you'll learn the story of Gutzon Borglum, the sculptor of Mount Rushmore. Afterward go to the Mount Rushmore National Memorial*, America's "Shrine of Democracy" and a symbol of the nation's rich history, rugged determination, and love of freedom. Then enjoy a tour* of Wildlife Loop Road at Custer State Park. The Wildlife Loop Road takes us through rolling prairies and pine covered hills, offering one of the best spots in the region to view native animals in the wild. This evening, enjoy Dinner & Entertainment*.


Day #4 - Wed., July 15th:

After enjoying Breakfast*, you'll go to the High Plains Western Heritage Center*. Then you'll head for Deadwood, South Dakota, the former home of Wild Bill Hickok & Calamity Jane - now the location of gaming establishments in beautifully restored historic hotels & saloons. Enjoy a Guided Tour* of Deadwood, have some gaming excitement and later, enjoy Dinner*.


Day #5 - Thurs., July 16th:

Today, our tour* takes us to the unique Journey Museum*, which tells the complete history of the mystical Black Hills. Then, prepare for an inspirational sight at the magnificent and spectacular Crazy Horse Memorial*, destined to be the world's largest memorial upon completion. You'll learn about sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski, his vision, and the loving family who continues his life's work. This evening enjoy Dinner & Entertainment*.


Day #6 - Fri., July 17th:

A Continental Breakfast* awaits us this morning here at the hotel before we leave for the famous Corn Palace*. This evening, relax at our hotel en route home. Don't forget to set your watches ahead an hour today as we re-enter the Central Time Zone.


Day #7 - Sat., July 18th:

Enjoy a Continental Breakfast* before we check out, board the coach and depart for home taking with us memories of our times together exploring the West. We'll make rest and meal stops along the way as needed.
