Be dazzled by the sights and sounds of the 120th Tournament of Roses Parade. This celebration, full of beautifully colored floats, marching bands and equine teams, needs to be enjoyed in person! Ring in the New Year in sunny California with Peoria Charter Coach & Mayflower Tours. Day #1 - Welcome to the grand dame of parades, the 119th Tournament of Roses Parade! For four nights we'll stay in sunny Southern California at the Long Beach Hilton*. We'll enjoy a "Welcome Orientation"* at 5:00 PM. A shuttle will be provided for you to enjoy dinner on your own on Pine Avenue, Shoreline Village or The Pike at Rainbow Harbor. Day #2 - Continental Breakfast* is included this morning at the hotel and then we're off to view the construction of the spectacular parade floats. You'll have the unique opportunity to step up close and see for yourself the majestic beauty & splendor of the floral floats. We have special early entry to see in close detail the design & workmanship that goes into these magnificent floral creations. Have you ever wanted to ask, "How do they make the eyes blink or what kind of flower do they use? Now you can. Be entertained as the designers demonstrate the funny & clever hydraulic animations. Don't forget to bring your camera! After enjoying dinner on your own, we're off to the world-famous Crystal Cathedral* for a performance of The Glory of Christmas*. The story & splendor of the original Christmas comes alive at the world-famous Crystal Cathedral. Witness for yourself the unique pageantry through the creative blend of Christmas carols, live animals, flying angels and special effects. See live performances by adult and child soloists highlighted by the Cathedral's world-renowned pipe organ and recorded music performed by The London Symphony Orchestra. See the Christmas nativity as you've never seen before! Day #3 - Continental Breakfast* is served at the hotel followed by "Free Time" to explore on your own or enjoy one of the optional tours provided by Mayflower Tours. This evening we ring in the New Year with your newfound friends at a Private New Year's Eve Gala Event*. Put on your dancing shoes as a live orchestra fills the room with sounds from yesterday and today. We enjoy a spectacular Dinner & Champagne Toast* to celebrate the dawning of a New Year, as you have never done before. Day #4 - Enjoy a delicious Continental Breakfast* before we depart for the 119th Tournament of Roses Parade*. We've got reserved bleacher seats* along Colorado Blvd for this annual event. View the animated floats, the precision of the marching bands and the equestrian teams as you become part of an event that is seen throughout the world by millions. Following the parade, you'll enjoy a special post parade Football Tailgate party*. Day #5 - Continental Breakfast* is included this morning before we transfer to the airport for our flight home.
