Day #1 - Saturday, October 11th: 6:15 AM (CT) - Meet your escort at Peoria Charter Coach waiting room at the corner of NE Adams & Alexander Streets. 6:30 AM (CT) - Depart Peoria headed east to Rockville, Indiana and the annual Putnam County Covered Bridge Festival. We'll enjoy a Continental Breakfast* on board as we travel. We'll also make a rest stop along the way (rest area before Champaign). Note: Don't forget to set your watches ahead an hour upon entering Indiana as we've entered the Eastern Time Zone. 11:30 AM (ET) - We'll drop you in Rockville Square for time on your own to enjoy the festivities, exhibitors and food vendors. We have not included the cost of the Covered Bridge Tour so you'll need to purchase that on your own if you want to do that. We've included the use of the Billie Creek Shuttle* for you to get back & forth. 2:30 PM (ET) - We re-board our awaiting coach and depart for the Super 8 Hotel* in Cloverdale, Indiana. You'll have about an hour to rest and freshen up before our late afternoon / evening activities. 4:00 PM (ET) - It's time to depart for Hilltop Orchids for a tour*. Hilltop Orchids is a family owned and operated business since 1991. Enjoy the sight of over 85-thousand orchids in stock and 500 or more in bloom at all times! Did you know vanilla is in the orchid family? (4:30 - 5:30 PM) 5:30 PM (ET) - Our final destination will be Cataract Falls Covered Bridge for dinner & a Hoosier Hillbilly Wedding*. Cataract Falls is Indiana's largest waterfall. Experience the spectacular view from accessible scenic overlook. This is a good "photo op" as you overlook the upper falls. Dinner* is served inside a restored, landscaped 1888 single span bridge. As you settle in for dinner, you'll see a man running towards you. As he enters the covered bridge he gasps for breath and tries to find someplace to hide as Sally Single's paw is after him. You'll hear someone yelling and see an older man tot'en his shotgun and yelling for that sniveling heartbreaker, Little Ab Normal. Sally Single has waited long enough - just then, Sally walks in - weddin' dress & all. She finally realizes she has Little Ab Normal cornered and grabs him by the ear. She tells Paw to get Justin Ofhim Peace - a weddin' is gonna take place. You'll all be witnesses for this happy occasion. Remember, this couple will need something old, something new, something borrowed & something blue. Can you help them out? (5:45 - 7:00 PM) 7:30 PM - Approximate return time to the hotel for the evening. Day #2 - Sunday, October 12th: Continental Breakfast* is served at the hotel before we checkout. 9:00 AM (ET) - This morning we're off to Harris Sugar Bush Camp*. At Harris Sugar Bush Camp, step back in time and see how to tap maple trees, make maple syrup, creams, and candies. Browse the cabin store and maybe even purchase a bit of history in a gift basket! (9:30 - 10:30 AM) 10:30 AM (ET) - We're off to our last stop - the Final Approach Bistro where we'll be "Cooking with Class"*. Enjoy the experience of cooking with a credited chef! This hands-on cooking class will be the highlight of your trip. Not only do you get to learn, you get to eat what you create. (11:30 - 1:00 PM) 1:00 PM (ET) - It's time to depart for home after a wonderful time here in Putnam County. Don't forget to set your watches back an hour as we re-enter Illinois and the Central Time Zone. 4:00 PM (CT) - This is the approximate arrival time back in Peoria. Please refer to the final itinerary for the return time to your specific pickup location.
