Day #1 - Tuesday, September 23rd: 8:00 AM - Depart Peoria for "Windy City" - Chicago, Illinois. We will make a lunch stop along the way. 1:00 PM - Upon arrival, we pickup our Guide* at Sears Tower and depart to see some of Chicago's famous sights as the Magnificent Mile, Lincoln Park, Lake Michigan, and the Hancock Skyscraper. Our guide will also place an emphasis on Catholic & Presbyterian Churches in the area. 4:00 PM - Next we'll visit Sears Tower Skydeck where you'll get some breathtaking views of Chicago from one of the world's tallest buildings. The Observation Deck has just undergone a 4 million dollar renovation and allows you to explore the city's rich history with the new interactive displays located here. 5:30 PM - Depart Sears Tower for dinner. 6:00 PM - Dinner* will be served at a local restaurant before checking into our Chicago area hotel. Day #2 - Wednesday, September 24th: We will enjoy a Continental Breakfast* at the hotel this morning. 9:15 AM - This morning we depart the hotel and head for the Art Institute of Chicago - Home to some of the World's most well-known art collections. Built in 1893, the Institute includes an extensive collection of more than 300,000 works of art spanning over 5,000 years of history. Lunch is on your own today while here at the Art Institute. (10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.) 1:30 PM - Next we're off to Navy Pier to board the Shoreline Sightseeing Boat for a relaxing and breathtaking cruise* on Lake Michigan. As you cruise, the captain will narrate what you're seeing as you pass by. Enjoy "Chicago's Skyline"! (2 - 3:45 PM) 3:45 PM - Following the cruise, you'll have time to experience one of Chicago's top attractions at the Navy Pier. Here, you can enjoy shopping, entertainment, an indoor garden, a stained glass museum, and a 150 ft. Ferris wheel on the water's edge. (3:45 - 5:30 PM) 5:30 PM - Let's board our awaiting coach and depart for dinner. 6:00 PM - Tonight we will enjoy a mouth-watering dinner* and some great entertainment* at a local establishment. 7:30 PM - Following dinner, we're off to the hotel for the evening. Day #3 - Friday, July 14th: Continental Breakfast* is included at the hotel this morning. 9:00 AM - Let's check out and board the coach for one last trip into the "Windy City". We'll drop you off at the John Hancock Building and Water Tower Place Mall. Enjoy some free time to do some sightseeing or shopping at Water Tower Place Mall. Visit the Old Chicago Water Tower - one of the few structures to survive the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 or perhaps visit the incomparable John Hancock Building Observatory on the 94th floor. Lunch is on your own today while downtown. Our driver will also make stops at The Field Museum, The Shedd Aquarium and the Museum of Science and Industry for those of you who wish to visit a museum. (All admissions to attractions are on your own this morning.) 2:30 PM - It's time to depart for home after a fabulous time in Chicago. We will make a meal stop en route home. 7:00 PM - Approximate arrival time in Peoria.
